ART ARCHIVAL TOUR

Basel is home to many historical collections on several topics. Many of these topics highly affect many communities but have been so difficult to access. From pieces that were documented photographically and textually to ancient relics and objects, we hope to explore all these archives on this tour.

The guided tour will be with our researcher from Afrokaana, visiting the Basler Afrika Bibliographien and Museum der kultur to connect our artists, creatives and curators to resources that they can access to inform their research and artistic practice.

Wednesday 12.06.
Museum der Kulturen Basel
2pm - 4pm

The ‘Pluriversal Encounters’ tour hosted by Museum der Kulturen curators from the Africa, America and Asia collections will share how the current ‘Alive’ Exhibition brings contemporary relevance to ancient artefacts.

The HeritageConcept tour introduces a dialogue that will explore artistic interventions that act as a catalyst for reimagining museum traditions and initiating collaborative modes of showcase.
